Unsigned 2020 players and 2019 JUCO star

Here are some of the states top UNSIGNED players, Emily Dogbaste and Cheyanne Bonilla are listed among the Texas Top 100 seniors on Prep Girls Hoops and Mariah Smith would be as well if she was from Texas

Emily Dogbaste-5’9 G (The Village School) explosive athlete that can shoot the long ball, create off the dribble and hit the midrange or attack the basket strongly and finish the same way. A couple of weeks ago, she dropped 9 threes in a game, the 10th rimmed out and she plays on one of the top private school teams in Texas

VIDEO of 9 threes

Cheyanne Bonilla-5’7 G (El Paso Eastlake) crafty scorer that understands how to put the ball in the basket multiple ways, she just went over the 2000 point plateau in high school back in December and she put on a show opening up the Katy Classic Tournament in Houston dropping 25 with 5 three and closing with 38 and 6 threes against a couple of the top teams in the state

Marchelle Willis-5’5 G (Ridgepoint) you can’t teach heart and she definitely has that as she’s one of the areas top long ball shooters yet she’s not one of the main options on her high school team. Nevertheless, she finds ways to contribute, she’s always around the ball and recently had a huge offensive game that closed with her making a steal and assisting on the winning bucket to keep her team in first place

Hailey Smith-5’7 G (East View) the straw that stirs the drink is putting it mildly because her videos don’t do her justice. Several intangibles are missed, she dives on the floor, in the stands, takes charges yet she also can take games over on both ends. Her BB-IQ is quite high, so is her shooting percentage which she drops from all over the court and her huge performance in their upset victory a couple of weeks ago has them in a dogfight for first place in the district

Breiya Hadnot-5’7 G (Beaumont Westlake) one of the most unselfish players in the state, sometimes too because she can score multiple ways including the long ball. Her big thing is defense and doing several things that don’t necessarily show up in the box score but her team-oriented mindset to get everyone involved and not force anything has always stood out

Cy’Maya Colquitt-5’7 G (North Shore) just went from starting to coming off of the bench because she’s one of those players that can provide instant offense and gives the team sparks, either by her tenacious defense or just making a huge play including dropping pressure shots and buzzer-beaters. I’ve watched her play in pain, she’s always going to just bring it, no matter what the situation is.

Mariah Smith (Edison Prep) from Oklahoma
