2033 Taylor Englebert

The future has always been bright since I dropped that phrase over 20 years ago, yet with the explosion of women’s basketball, there is a new, younger wave of talent not only becoming interested but also more involved by not only watching, but observing and comprehending
Taylor Englebert is only in the 6th grade, yet the 2033 standout is already showing signs and has received coverage from several outlets, including MSN, The Source, BreakingAC, Hoop Heads, and BallerTube. I had a brief chat with her dad after finding out they live in New Jersey, and one thing that immediately got me going was that she loved playing against older, talented competition, and please remember another one of my sayings: “It’s not what you do; it’s who you do it against”
I had a chance to go over some footage, and at this stage, so many things, so many things are setting her up for a bigger stage, like her BB-IQ and court vision, yet she also does a good job handling the ball under pressure and creating her shot. Her deceptive first step in the set gets her past defenders to score off the dribble, and she also showed she could nail the mid to long-range; she has already won a 3-point shooting competition
She is also somewhat of a gym rat, and I just get a feel from watching her mannerisms that she is building something, and as you know, I love “on the court” progression. She has already made Tip Sheets on her journey and will continue to do so as she plays for Jersey Shore Elite
