San Antonio Islanders grab 9/10 grade PTN Championship

2013 PT SA Islanders

Good guard play will take you a long way and one thing I can say for sure is that the San Antonio Islanders have some terrific guards that can handle, shoot the ball, distribute the ball but more importantly than all of that, they truly understand the game. Annabelle Tovar went from just being good when I saw her briefly earlier this season to really good at The Blueprint as she understood and showed how to take a game over. At Prime Time Nationals Alexia Torres took her game to another level simply going off as well and when you have players with their mindset, you’re going to be in more games than you aren’t and both players have made Tip Sheets over the summer, not just because they can shoot the three, but because they can play. Tara Molina can shoot it as well, not to mention finish strong and so can Victoria Salinas who can hit teammates on the money from thirty plus feet however you want it.

If four legitimate three point shooters aren’t enough, how about five. Cassandra Ramirez is someone you need to be aware of on both ends as she does her damage silently and yet you wonder where it came from.  Hannah Murray is super athletic, can finish and rebound and block a few shots to help fill up her stat sheet.  Erin Wimberley made the GPR Tip Sheet from Prime Time, her size and strength will get her in school somewhere and her skills will keep moving her up the ladder as she’s constantly moving on the court and goes after everything

Here are the Tip Sheets I’ve done on the young ladies, click on their names below

Full Court from The Blueprint Tovar

Full Court from PTN Torres

GPR from PTN Wimberley
