Rezilent Dreams-Battle On The Plainz II-Runner Up

This squad brought a lot of pieces to the puzzle and wound up finishing in 2nd place. Here ya go

2023

Maybelle Begay-5’3 (Window Rock) created her shot in the set and showed she could knock down the jumper, she also dropped in transition. She did a good job attacking the basket and played “on the ball” defense yet just an important, she played within herself

Shiryl Yazzie-5’6 (Window Rock) saw the floor and attacked off the dribble using either hand while finishing strongly after contact but her court vision was nice, and so was her pull-up jumper in the set as well as in transition. She also played the passing lane, even showing timing to block shots

Kayden Tsosie-5’11 (Gallup) operated in the paint to show that “hands and footwork” combo I like yet she supersized by going hard on her finishes as well as going after the ball off the rim. She also scored on putbacks, even attacked off the dribble, and finished with nice body control, and she played defense

2024

Melicia Nelson- 5’8 (Window Rock) scored in the paint using some nice moves, but she also attacked from the wing and finished. She dropped the midrange and she saw the floor, her “no looks” in traffic were really nice yet she also defended “on the ball” and played the passing lane

Camisha Fusion-5’4 (PHH Prep, Phoenix AZ) also saw the floor and also threw some impressive “no looks” in traffic. She created her shot, dropped the jumper with a hand in her face, she even dropped the long ball consistently yet her “catch and shoot” was also impressive. She also scored off the dribble, defended, and played the passing lane

Dilyah Yazzie-5’4 (Valley HS, Albuquerque NM) her intensity on defense stood out every game as she brought heat baseline to baseline and in the set. She played the passing lane well and handled the ball afterward in the open court. She also used a deceptive first step to attack the basket and she dropped the jumper

Jaden Atcitty-5’5 (Westwood) showed me something extra in each game yet her defense was ON each one. She scored off the dribble, created her shot for the jumper, she dropped it mid to long-range and even showed the “catch and shoot” with a hand in her face

2025

Kassidy Jones-5’6 (Navajo Preparatory) went after loose balls and even rebounds while wearing a knee brace. She also scored off the dribble and finished after the lick, plus she created her shot for the midrange. Her on-the-ball defense was also nice, so is her upside

Keiryn Mann-5’11 (Monument Valley) also JUST DID IT for me with the “hands and footwork” inside the paint to score. She also scored off the dribble, after contact, as well as from midrange. She rebounds saw the floor in transition and did a good job bringing heat defensively

Elsa Stier-5’7 (Miccosokee) scored off the dribble consistently but she also showed she could drop it from outside, mid to long range. She handled the ball under pressure, she rebounded and she did a good job on the defensive end
