Oklahoma Runners-Battle On The Plainz II

The Lady Runners were off and running on Friday night and they didn’t stop without leaving a lasting impression from so many talented players, here ya go

2024

Kalerya Silvertown-5’4 (Ft. Cobb) saw the floor, blew by defenders off the dribble, and could flat-out drop the long ball, from DEEP. I was impressed with her creating her shot under pressure, she also dropped the midrange yet her ability to “catch and shoot” while;e being defended was extra nice for me. Speaking of defended, her on-the-ball pressure was more than solid

Addison Fisher-5’9 (Seiling) is long and athletic, that is the base and she not only rebounded on both ends but she also ran the floor, on both ends. She scored around the basket as well as off the dribble, she did a good job on interior defense plus she did something I love to see, play the passing lane

Sydney Frazier-5’4 (Riverside) created her shot under pressure and knocked it down with a hand in her face but she also showed the “catch and shoot” while being defended, from mid to long range. She handled the ball and saw the floor, both in transition and the set, and she played the passing lane

2025

Derriane Brown-5’7 (Riverside) caught me initially with her “on the ball” pressure yet also showed good body control on her finishes after attacking the basket. Her court vision was also nice in transition, as well as the set, and so was her ballhandling under some heavy pressure

Annayah Funnaker-5’8 Ft. Cobb also grabbed me with her “on the ball” pressure yet she showed more than just defense. She scored off the dribble using a deceptive first step, she handled the ball in the open court and saw the floor but she also rebounded on both ends

Keiley Mahsert-5’11 (Southmore) played the passing lane many times yet her defense, especially on the ball or inside the paint, was nice. She rebounded on both ends, scored on putbacks and around the rim, she even showed she could drop the pull-up jumper

Terayan Jenea-6’1 (Riverside) on opening night, she just left me speechless as he scored around the basket almost at will but her strength and ability to finish with players literally hanging on her didn’t end on opening night as she carried it over the rest of the event. She also dropped the mid to long-range and rebounded on both ends of the court
