Deer Park’s Whitfield is still THE GLUE 6A Region 3 District 22

Deer Park is rolling, undefeated in DISTRICT and much of that is because of UNSIGNED Senior Macie Whitfield. I called her THE GLUE during club season with Houston United and her “holding things together” has continued as her squad is having one of their best seasons since I’ve been watching girl’s basketball in Houston

She has put up numbers and flirted with double-doubles yet found ways to help her team win games. Taking a charge to stop or change the momentum, a huge steal, or just clutch outside, well inside scoring also, is helping her go out with a bang
