Toni Ademuwagun has a jump on others because she watched her older sister Tobi blossom into one of the top players in Texas. Tobi had over 20 D1 offers alone yet decided Penn was the right fit for her future. Fast forward to baby sister, well I can’t say BABY after seeing her on the court yet younger sister immediately grabbed my attention by showing that same drive her older sister had
Here’s the kicker, Toni is explosive with the ball and when you factor in she stays under control to attack the basket, with either hand and finish after contact, that’s solid. Her body control played a part in her finishing strongly but she is already showing signs of being able to create contact off the dribble. She also has good court vision and makes the right decisions but her jumper was on as well
She has very good upside because she comprehends the simple things that will be huge as her career progresses, she does a good job playing “on the ball” defense both in the set as well as baseline to baseline plus she played the passing lane so I’ll be keeping a close on her after leaving a lasting first impression at the Prime Event hosted by PBR
