2025 Lily Melton scores with multiple punches

I haven’t dropped articles from a couple of PGH events, The Prime and The Finale, still fighting jet lag from watching my daughter’s Las Vegas Aces winning WNBA Championship yet I wanted to spotlight a future PGH Texas Top 100 player, Lily Melton because I already know what’s coming. I have written about the Glen Rose star before, use the search bar because it is your friend, and I was simply overly impressed at what she added at the Prime Event

Melton handles the ball very well under pressure and when she shows the crossover as well as the HEZ, yall call it the HEZZIE, but it’s the hesitation move, that is hard to handle. When you understand how to get the defender off balance, both in the set and in the open court, that’s big yet what makes it huge is that she sees the floor very well and hits teammates on the money for easy scoring opportunities.

I also love her deceptive first step, it enables her to get to the basket and finish not only after contact but acrobatically after contact. When you have the type of body control she possesses and can either score or dish, big becomes HUGE because she can hurt you offensively in multiple ways. The mid to long-range is something you can’t ignore, I wrote about her UPSIDE when I caught her in middle school, and here we are.

Always remember, “progression is the key” and my initial sighting saw her “poise under pressure” and “playing under control” as well as being HEADY, thinking the game, would turn into something special, and as usual, I was right yet “peep this”, she ain’t done, I expect her to take it to yet another level, trust me, I don’t fabricate about talent
