2019 Prime Time Winter Blast Tip Sheet

'19 Winter Blast LaMendola

JULES LaMENDOLA

LEWISVILLE, TEXAS- In the first of several Prime Time events I have on my calendar for the season, the Winter Blast set the tone with an array of talented players yet to play their first high school game, some haven’t even played in their first middle school game yet I already know that many of the young ladies will be playing somewhere at the next level while others are definitely on the right path. I always emphasize that talent is everywhere so the main thing young players should understand is to keep working on their games because progression is definitely the key. Here are some of the standouts I personally saw and everything from me is based on what I see, it always has been and always will be so here we go

'19 Winter Blast Esparza

ALEXIS ESPARZA

8th Grade Division

Amaya Gallegos (Gameball) attacks at will, sees the floor, nice pull-up in transition and rebounds on both ends

Alexis Esparza (Trendsetters) long and athletic, already around the magic number of 6’0 which is always a plus, good timing, runs floor and finishes

Tajanae Gooden (DPE 2023) already gets it as far as understanding how to score multiple ways. Range from when she enters the gym

Danae Crosby (Lady Drive Nation Red) playing up and you’d never know, gets to the basket whenever she wants, stop and pop, plays passing lane, huge upside

Shameir Quimby (Bandits Elite) one of those “never takes a play off” players as she just keeps coming at you. Attacks strong and finishes after contact, loves to defend

Jules LaMendola (Hurricanes Dallas) definitely showed she was more than a tropical storm as she scored abundantly on a variety of ways. Long and athletic, creates under pressure
