2027 Stars Leaving Memories: All Eyez On She

That last club season for players always gets me in one of my moods, as I have watched so many of these young players from their early years, many times before their first middle school game, and both Ariana Murphy and Aliyah Murphy fall into that group, as we had a chance to take our yearly picture together at the All Eyez On She event.

The Cedar Ridge stars have grown both on and off the court over the years, Ariana showing she could not only run a team and handle the ball under pressure but also see the floor and score, both off the dribble as well as from outside, while Aliyah slices by defenders from the wing to finish, and can go coast to coast after rebounding to score.

Both are hard-nose defenders who apply heat “on the ball” baseline to baseline, but watching them play the passing lane always brings a mile to my face as we talked about how important that was at one of the All Eyez On Me camps back in the day. They had a good weekend with their Rock Nation 17U squad, but it still makes me sad that their high school season is almost over, yet happy for what they have in store for the future
