4 Nations-Battle On The Plainz II
2023
Analysses Steekten-5’6 scored off the dribble, nice first step but her body control was just as nice as she finished after contact several times. She also created her shot under pressure and dropped the mid to long-range jumper. She even showed the “catch and shoot” and played the passing lane
Jayla Flient-6’1 just kept showing me more each game. The Haskell signee will translate over quickly, she rebounded strongly on both ends, and scored on putbacks as well as around the basket yet her defense was very impressive as she looked good both in and outside the paint. Factor in her “timing” as she blocked shots galore, coming from nowhere at times to throw them back
Suzannah Balbone-5’7 created her shot under pressure and her creativity enabled her to drop the long ball yet it also kept the defense honest because she attacked with either hand off the dribble. She rebounded and handled the ball coast to coast and showed solid court vision in the open court as well as in the set
2024
Nevach Sage-5’8 played the passing lane well and she also did a good job defending but she didn’t stop there. Her pull-up jumper in the set was nice, mid to long-range, she also took the defender off the dribble to score but she also did a good job of seeing the floor
2025
Alivia Wopscienth-5’1 scored off the dribble countless times, nice body control on her finishes but she attacked the basket powerfully and showed she could drop the outside shot using the pull-up jumper. The 3-ball looked good, she dropped some clutch shots numerous times, and she saw the floor
Lilah Meeks-5’9 did a good job rebounding on both ends, she understands positioning and she showed desire to go after the ball off the rim. She plays within herself which is always a good sign and she defended both inside the paint and on the perimeter
2026
Tatum Billie-5’7 scored off the dribble, she’s long and athletic and that is the base, but she also created her shot and dropped the mid and long-range jumper. She also did a good job scoring in the paint, played good defense as well as playing the passing lane
Aubrey Mentac-5’8 is also long and athletic and her first step enabled her to get by the defender quite a few times to attack the basket, plus she showed she could finish after contact. She rebounded on both ends and applied “on the ball” pressure on the defensive end
