Adyson James is more than ready for “THE RUN”
Adyson James has done whatever she was called upon to do with her Cibolo Steele high school team in her first three seasons. She understood her role, played within herself, and showed she could get hers “in the flow”. Watching her progression each year told me another thing, she has continued to work on her game
A few weeks ago at the Alamo City High School Showdown, she showed me something else which is why I chose the title she is “more than ready” for the run. During the event, I tweeted “I knew she was good but I didn’t realize she was that good” and after watching her score around the basket for years, including scoring on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends
In fact, her DESIRE to go after the ball and outrebound taller players have always stood out. So has diving for loose balls, and playing defense in the paint, the set, and the open court. Let me not leave out she has always played the passing lane and can handle the ball in the open court afterward to either attack the basket or make the right pass, yes her court vision is solid
What else is solid is her finishing off the dribble after contact, she gets to the basket with either hand, with power. She did a good job dropping the midrange as she created her shot and nailed it with a hand in her face and she will also be one of the “PLAYERS TO WATCH ” in a few weeks at the Texas Invitational November 17-19
