’21 Prime Time 10TH Grade DivisionTip Sheet #NBC21
Dynasty won this division while their sister team came in 4th in the 11/12th Grade Division so the teams from Kansas definitely left a message yet many messages were left in this division as I caught many new faces as well as old ones who have progressed, here ya go
Layla Terry (Armoured Elite) she’s 6’2 with an even longer wingspan, not sure what class she’s in but I definitely see upside because she does the little things that can become big, like keeping the ball high, throwing the outlet, reading picks and switching yet she also rebounds, on both ends and finishes, wait, and blocks, alters and deflects shots
Lexy Heston (Armoured Elite) does a good job of getting hers “in the flow” yet watching her create her shot while being defended was nice, so was her ability to “catch and shoot”
Ciara Miles (Lady Drive Nation Kileen) just added to PGH Top 100, she continues to show me different things, yeah she has UPS, is long, athletic, finishes off the dribble but she’s showing she can knock down the jumper consistently as well which is going to help elevate her status and she’s playing with even more confidence
Samantha Fields (Texas Elite One Hogg)heady point guard that scores multiple ways but her ability to handle the ball under pressure, control the tempo, and see the floor shows me that I was right the first time, yet I’m always right
Ja’Aira Fletcher (Texas Elite One Hogg) she attacks the rim relentlessly and finishes after contact yet her strength doesn’t stop there as she rebounds on both ends and came away with several putbacks
Damaria Daniels (AR JB Lady Ballers) #SDM is the acronym I hashtagged for” size don’t matter” yet it had to be amended to “when you can play” and she can definitely play as her SWB, speed with the ball, definitely makes her hard to handle because she can attack and finish attack and dish or use the stop and pop in transition to drain the jumper, oh yeah, she has good range
Kinsley Morris (AR JB Lady Ballers) created her shot and understood how to get hers in the flow but she also did a good job handling the ball and attacking the basket from the wing and she rebounded
Kristen Riney (DFW Hawks Harvey) she sees the floor very well and she does it under pressure yet she also handled the ball the same way, under pressure but she understands the game and how to control the tempo
Maddi Garza (Frisco Evolution) does a good job rebounding on both ends of the court, keeps the ball high, and finished on several putbacks as well as showing a nice touch around the basket
Vanessa Mejia (Frisco Evolution) pressure means absolutely nothing as she handles the ball and sees the floor while being tightly guarded yet she also wants the ball down the stretch and delivered some big baskets including the 3
Jakayla Rusk (Lady Ballers Nation) she takes the defender strong off the dribble and uses a deceptive first step yet she finishes the same way, strongly and this includes after contact but her passion for rebounding definitely stood out as well
Asia Smith (Lady Ballers Nation) long and athletic will always be the base I use so what else does she bring to the table, well she understands how to get to the basket, she does it with either hand and she finishes with either but her defense was also good
Allie Seybert (North Houston Lady Hustle 2023) heady and plays within herself sort of sums her game up yet it doesn’t because she can score off the dribble, she handles the ball under pressure and she sees the floor well
Blair Smith (Louisiana Lady Aces) powerful rebounder, on both ends, and that same power, showed as she went after loose balls but she also uses her body well around the basket and finished consistently, after contact
Sophie Geisler (Louisiana Lady Aces) attacks basket from, well anywhere yet her ballhandling in the open court under pressure just “set it off” because she could keep it and finish or hit teammates but she also showed good range
Amani Lipscomb (Dynasty) the energy she brought never let up, on either end and as impressed as I was with her ability to see the floor, handle the ball and drop the long-range, her attacking and finishing as well as her defense all stood out
Jasani Jackson (Dynasty) she attacked the rim effortlessly to finish, even after the lick but she also showed she could not only create her shot but drop it from long-range yet her playing the passing lane just did it for me
Madison Smith (Dynasty) creates her shot under pressure and showed she could knock it down, mid to long-range, with a hand in her face yet on the flip, she also played tight, solid defense
Jaliyah Manuel (Dynasty) uses her body very well, to rebound on either end as well as to finish, this includes putbacks yet her athleticism also enabled her to attack strongly for baskets as well as defend
