Queens Of The Hardwood-MS Breakouts
I love saying players are on the verge of just taking it to another level and teams like Waco United have been on my radar for quite some time, I caught many at the All Eyez On Me Individual Showcase a few years ago and as the team keeps reloading, I’m always spotting players on the rise like Lily King-5’9 , a 2026 player with so much upside that I just love following her progression but there are others not only this team, several middle school players gave me a jolt, a boost a nudge, whatever you want to call it but the main thing is that they got my attention and unlike the evaluators when my daughter was coming up, I actually look and know what I’m looking at so here’s the conclusion of Queen Of The Hardwood MS wrap
2025
Sofia Tavenier-6’2 P (Waco United 14U) that old saying “you can’t teach size” is one of many that absolutely makes me chuckle yet it applies when you have skills and her ability to rebound and finish consistently has her off to a good start
Jermarrianna Daniel-5’4 G (Waco United 14U) understands how to use her athleticism, attacks the rim and finishes after contact plus she also “mans up” baseline to baseline on defense and when you factor in “she plays the passing lane” awe yeah
Abby Norris-5’7 G (Waco United 14U) she’s so smooth and under control and she creates her shot under pressure and not only can she shoot it, she also understands how to get hers in the flow. She plays within herself yet I’m seeing a big jump coming
Solange Loadholt-5’7 G (Waco United 14U) when you have an explosive first step at this stage and attacks under control, that too is a base I use yet she can get it done from the wing, baseline or straight down the middle yet her playing defense and playing the passing lane are all really good
Aza Izzy Fernandez-5’6 G (Player 1st 14U National) heady player, under control, handles the ball under pressure and let me ask for a drumroll, she sees the floor very well either in the half court or pushing the ball in transition and to top it off, she’s a scorer
Emily Molina-5’9 G (Mamba Select) I watched her several times and the general consensus was she is definitely a gamer that understands who to get the ball to and when so watching her see the floor was a treat
Mia Ramos-5’7 G (SAHE Red) if you observe the picture, you get the picture, she attacks very well and can either finish after contact or take the shot jumper but her athleticism stood out as well, especially on defense
Abby Burdette-5’8 SF (SAHE Red) all I wrote was PU and that’s all I needed to write because I’m having flashbacks of her creating her shot for the pull-up jumper. She sets the defender up nicely with a deceptive first step, her release is quick and fluid
Karina Vasquez-5’3 G (SAHE Red) creates her shot under pressure and applies pressure either attacking the defender on her way to the basket or using that same pressure on the defensive end and with her energy, her upside is definitely good
2026
CeMaria Kelly-5’6 G (Waco United 14U) I was so impressed with her the first time I saw her a few months ago and nothing has changed, well her change of pace in the open court is better, her pull-up jumper and attacking the rim are soaring as well as her defense and of course, playing the passing lane
Berkley Hart-5’9 F (Player 1st 14U National)when you understand simple things at a young age that will make take your game to another level as you progress, that’s always big and she definitely understands positioning for rebounding as well as finishing after contact
Honorable Mention
These are players I missed yet were playing up in the event so I’m putting them in the database so when I use my search bar, I’ll know so the most important thing is to be where I am, Individual Showcases like All Eyez On Me where I will look at EVERY player
