ALLISON BERRY

If I have said it once, I have said it countless times and even use a hashtag because #ThreIsNoMe when it comes to seeing an abundance of players in one setting so catching most of these high school players for the first time was a blast. With somewhere near a hundred kids, I’ve already spotted #D1Locks but I also saw players who have next-level potential

Another reason that there is no me is that I have done this as a club coach and being the messenger to help close to a hundred players go on top to the next level, as well as a REAL EVALUATOR who has helped thousands indirectly get on the map and hundred directly achieve that next level dream. Lastly, more importantly, I have been through this as a parent and saw the nonsense and politics first hand and even though my daughter had over 100 D1 offers alone, there were still many in power with agendas but at the end of the day, she won a National Championship at Texas A&M as well as a WNBA Championship with the Las Vegas Aces so guess who was right

I’m also right about my EVALS because they’re based on what I see so my thing is to “show me on the court” and these young ladies went hard and all out to SHOW ME, here ya go

SADIE VANDER SCHAAF

Amaya Holton-6’0 F (2025) considering she just started playing less than two years ago, her upside is scary because first of all, she’s “long and athletic” and secondly, she stands at “the magic number” and to the novice who probably don’t understand the importance of those two things, well they are very important to many college coaches. She plays the passing lane, defends in and outside the paint, and goes after the ball off the rim. She showed a nice turnaround jumper on the block as well as a midrange pull-up. She also attacked off the dribble to score

Mercedes Moreno 5’4 G (2024) put on a shooting exhibition on both days that I caught her and when you factor in she’s “heady” and takes good shots, that’s huge in itself. Her pull-up jumper in the set as well as showing the “stop and pop” in transition got me going yet her “catch and shoot” from deep JUST DID IT for me. She handled the ball under pressure and saw the floor both in the set as well as in the open court yet she did a good job attacking the basket and finishing plus her defense was solid

Nia Rogers-5’6 G (2024) did another thing I LOVE to see players do and that’s “follow her shot” which gets her the #THROWBACK hashtag. Solid court vision was another plus as she threaded the needle in traffic but she also dished nicely off the dribble, her first step created problems for defenders as she also scored and finished strongly after contact, body control helped play a part in that. She also did a good job creating her shot under pressure and dropped the jumper several times with a hand in her face

Allison Berry-5’8 G/F (2025) plays taller than her listed height and her desire to go after everything immediately stood out yet that, following her shot, and showing the “drop step” gets her a well-deserved #THROWBACK. She also gave me the hands and footwork, scored around the basket, putbacks included, and both after-contact was nice yet she expanded her offense by dropping the midrange jumper and did a good job attacking the basket from multiple angles. Her timing was nice, I wrote UPS and that helped her block, deflect and (or) alter shots

Brianna Hunter-5’3 G (2025) gets another hashtag I love to drop and that’s #sizedontmatter because she can play. She’s a fierce competitor and watching her handle the ball under pressure both in the set as well as in transition was nice, especially since she not only saw the floor but made good decisions on who to hit for scoring opportunities. She also did a good job of creating her shot and knocking it down while being defended and her deceptive first step enabled her to get to the rim to score or dish

Sadie VanderSchaaf-5’7 G (2025) gets the #THROWBACK hashtag for “diving on the floor” and I love seeing things you can’t teach because she did it instinctively. The picture above isn’t showing but she made some tough passes look easy while attacking the basket, partly because of her having very good body control and partly because of her court vision. She also attacked the basket with either hand, it’s not as easy as it sounds, especially when you’re being pressured and she finished after the lick

Kayla Abney-5’4 G (2026) is a”long and athletic guard” and trust me, that too is the base. She uses her athleticism on both ends and can leave the defender standing as she pops the turbo on yet that court vision in the set as well as in transition was very nice but having an explosive first step gives you options other than blowing by defenders for baskets. It also creates opportunities for teammates to score when the switch occurs but she showed the swoosh occurred too as she dropped it from mid to long-range

Sage Turner-5’4 G (2026) showed on the ball defense baseline to baseline on both days so I know it’s real yet she too used her athleticism on both ends as she scored strongly off the dribble, even battled for rebounds against taller players. She did a good job of seeing the floor as well as understanding how to get hers “in the flow” yet she also knew when to take advantage of a mismatch and that is also something you can’t teach. She created her shot under pressure t drop it from outside yet in transition, she showed the “stop and pop” for two
