Manvel ready for Austin
This may be the season Manvel gets over the hump and makes it to Austin. After all, they have one of top frontcourts in the state, well probably the country as Brianna Turner (Notre Dame), Rangie Bessard (Minnesota) and Jordan Hosey (Texas) have all committed to BCS programs. The 2014 Turner is one of the top players in the country, ranging anywhere from one to five and has shown over the course of her career she was capable of playing all five positions in high school while a toned up Bessard , also a senior, simply took her game to another level over the summer as she added so many additional weapons almost needs a permit. Although Hosey is a only a junior, she too is one of the top players in her class and has the ability to play multiple positions as well. All are 6’2 or better, can put it on the floor, hit the midrange and dominate in the paint and the luck of the draw kept them out of Austin last year because they ran into Clear Springs, a team that they simply didn’t match up well against
In order for them to get out, they need to stay healthy and Jonee Jones along with Keyerra Fisher had minor injuries here and there but both are ready to go out with a bang. They, along with Mykhaela Todd and Arianna Sanders all had solid summers and are one of the teams that has the ability to knock off Cy Woods.
