Insiders runner-up at IBC

This has been a good season so far for the Houston Insiders as they have won a couple of tournaments and finished second in two, most recently the Insiders Basketball Classic and one of those wins, the AAU Qualifier. The Insiders are also one of the oldest programs still going and since their first graduating class back in 2005 players have went on to play at the next level including my own daughter who was first player from the area to be an All American, win a National Championship (Texas A&M) and play in the WNBA (NY Liberty)

This year’s group includes several 2014 players who have an excellent shot at playing at the next level including Sydney “Big Play Syd” Thomas, Ariel Taylor, Jasmine Green, Gabby Odom and Sydney Bright, plus two of the top players from their respective classes, Brynae Thompson (2015) and Anna McCleod (2016). With the addition of Ashley Caldwell (2015) the Insiders now have a player close to magic number that can create some problems on the inside so this is going to be an interesting July
