Houston Elite solid from top to bottom
JAZ EVANS
Houston Elite is one of the oldest organizations remaining in Houston club basketball and over the years they have been very successful. They finished strong in the Insiders Basketball Classic placing two teams, Houston Elite Blue and Houston Elite White, in the semifinals of the WNBA, with White winning the division. I’ve said all along that Rangie Bessard should be higher than most people had her, I have a definite advantage since not only do I observe these players for many years but I also understand what I observe, yes it’s a gift. The killing part about it is she and Jaz Evans hasn’t even peaked; check out what I said about Bessard on the Tip Sheet and at 6’5, Evans has turned a corner. Jaylan Robinson also turned a corner and the way she’s coming around picks and nailing threes is not only good for her and Houston Elite White, she is also making North Shore looking like they might just make a run next season as she, Adriiana Jackson and Shi’lea Scott can all put up numbers
On the Blue squad Tiffant Arceneaux just keeps elevating her game. She along with Angelica Darcus and Infiniti Harris showed they could put up numbers during the event and the steady improvement from 6’2 Jayne Bobmanuel will definitely have them bringing some heat down the stretch
On the Black team, Harris’ younger sister Porsche was on fire for the event as she and Sydney Carr are capable scorers. With Taylor Kollmorgen giving close double-double performances each game not to mention Deidre Dobbins improvement every time I watch her, this young group has to potential to make some noise
