Texas Adidas Elite 2017 brings more firepower

2017 Texas Elite Adidas 3

Texas Elite Adidas 2017 won the 9/10 grade division at the Dallas Spring Shootout with talented young players from both the 2017 and 2018 classes. This is another team that had multiple players that could have made my tip sheet after an initial sighting which is good for me because I’m recognizing their game before I see them in the future and it’s even greater for the state because I can say “I told you so”, well I guess both are good for me. Bryn Gelrich is going to be a big time player; you hit five threes in a row against older players, well just wait. Her mom is also the new head coach at UTA which explains so of the things that stand out with this young lady because she knows the game. Gabby Gregory is a name I’m familiar with however this GG is still in middle school and her qualities are abundant as well. She’s close to the magic number, runs the floor well and rebounds strong, not to mention finishes under pressure. The same can be said for Channing Cunyus who also can put it on the floor and go right at you. Taelor Pruitt can put it on the floor as well, attack, and see the court plus finish. Looking back at the fact that all of these are the 2018’s, I’m even more impressed. With that being said, Tatum Veitenheimer has several stars and “PLAYA” by her name so she’s the 2018 we’ll come back to on the tip sheet

Lexi Gordon is almost there and at 5’11 she has unlimited potential. She’s athletic, she finishes with contact, she can come at you from so many angles you’ll think it’s a geometry worksheet but even more impressive was the fact that she was vocal both to her teammates and coaches. Ryanne Johnson wasn’t there for the opening day but standing 6’0, she has the ability to be a force on the inside. Her shot is fluid and she moves well on both ends and you can add her to the list of kids that don’t stand there and watch a ball being lobbed, I love anticipating and going after it. Arin Tubbs showed range from 10-25 feet as well as being able to attack and defend while Trinty Oliver is going to be huge before it’s all said and done, trust me on that. Both days, she showed me something different and this young lady has a very bright future. She can shoot the midrange as well as the three and at 5’9, she already qualifies as a big guard in some conferences.
