Fearless Freeman Fills It Up

I heard about Alexis Freeman doing some impressive things at Navasota from several people and I was happy to get a chance to see her play. Navasota has had some outstanding players over the years, from LaShunta Jackson and Kizzy Thomas in the 90’s to the Mock sisters in this millennium; the Rattlers have had several stars play for them. Freeman joined Jackson and Thomas on the TABC All-State Team. She has helped guide Navasota to a 95-16 record during her career and is also in striking distance of Jackson’s school record of 1895 points with 1335 and after scoring 42 points in a game this season, that goal is attainable. She also was named All Tournament in all three tournaments her school played in and picked the MVP award in the Hempstead Classic. With her blazing speed, it was not a surprise for me to find out she also lettered in track but this 5’5 guard showed me over the weekend she has the ability to run a team at the next level.
