All That JAZ

Jazmine Parker came to Houston by way of Mississippi and the spin on her right off the top was that she was an offensive machine with a jumper like a boy. Jazmine has chilled and thrilled her way to an outstanding high school career that will take her to TCU to play basketball at the collegiate level next season.

Jazmine has also had a solid high school career at Mayde Creek, being named   to the All District team three times. She will also finish her high school career as one of the school’s, if not district’s, all time scorers. To top that off, she led her to team to a 19-13 record last season in route to the playoffs.

I caught up with one of her former club coaches, Chris Johnson, who is now the head coach at Lutheran North and asked him what he thought about Jazmine’s game. “Jaz is a great offensive talent with a pull up jumper like I’ve never seen on a high school player. She has great potential and I’m excited to see how she will do at TCU”.

We are all excited and Jazmine is headed to what has become a Top 25 program in Women’s Basketball.
