Brooke McCarty Big 12 POY

HOUSTON, Texas- Certain players are so far ahead of the game at an early age and for whatever reason, sometimes their growth, on the court, becomes stagnant as many catch-up and sometimes pass them however at the age of 9 or 10, I knew Brooke McCarty would be a big time player so her winning Big 12 Player of the Year as a junior is no surprise. She was small however the BB-IQ this young lady displayed while playing up on a team that was playing up told me she was going to do big things along the way which is why I started calling her “The Chosen One”

She had many accomplishments on her journey through high school including helping lead Clear Springs to the state tournament and I don’t quite remember if they had four 30 win seasons but they averaged over 30 during her career. This young lady was legit from the moment I saw her and as much success as she’s had, I’m certain that more is to come
