Kim Levengood
DALLAS, Texas- 2016 Prime Time Nationals had several shining stars on Saturday as bracket play began in the 11/12 grade division and Girlz Prep Report correspondent Jim Johnson saw quite a few and her they are
Marlee Harvey (El Reno Lady Storm) broke her nose on Friday and showed up to play and play well on Saturday. Very good defender who doesn’t commit the cheap foul and is also an excellent rebounder and passer. She’s a natural 4 and runs floor well.
Tierra Powell (Lady Oz Elite) The smallest player in the division at 5’2, but averaging over 3 three’s a game. Everything you’d expect in a player that size and more. Leave her alone and you will pay. Bring the ball low and it’s hers.
Kim Levengood (Kingwood Hoops) has no trouble getting her shot off over a defender and is a natural that’s averaging 3 three’s a game. Good defender with long arms. Not afraid to drive and if fouled she is deadly from the line.
Kayla Janikula (Kingwood Hoops) at 6’0 she’s natural 4 that runs the floor well. Good defender and rebounder. Will score of the offensive glass and has some solid post moves.
Lani Snowden Oklahoma Lady Fusion) Lani’s three point shooting helps advance the Fusion. Lani has been averaging over a dozen a game while knocking down 3 three’s a game.
JaKelya Morgan (Prodigy) Her strong hands forced many a steal. With a solid build, a bump along the way to the basket is not going to affect her
Jada Catlin (Prodigy) averaged 3 three’s a game for Prodigy and got them to the third round in bracket play and leave her open and you’ll be getting the ball from the bottom of the net.
Jakayla Bowie (Texas Preps Elite 2017) can score from the point as well as getting her teammates involved in the offense. At 5’8 she has plenty of size to make any pass. Good athlete.
Mya Davis (West Texas Fuse) Mya plays hard at both ends and will go to the basket on anyone. Good foul shooter, solid scorer and rebounder and also plays bigger than her 5’9 frame.
Briley Due (Armoured Elite Arkansas) can hit the open 3, drive to the basket and score, as well as hit free throws was critical for her team to advance. She’s a solid 2 guard with potential.
Taylor Sutton (Oklahoma Lady Fusion) Taylor is active at both ends of the floor. She wants the ball when posted up and goes to work when she has it. Rebounds well at both ends and stands over 6’0
Brittany Ricon (West Texas Fuse) she defends and passes well and does a good job of involving her teammates, has the ability to score more but is a pass first guard
