2016 I-10 State Line Battle Tip Sheet
MYA HOLINGSHED
HOUSTON, Texas- The I-10 State Line Battle gave me a chance to see many new faces that I haven’t seen before as well as some that I’ve been seeing for what seems like forever and when I’ve been seen you for a minute, I want to see progression. Here’s a look at a few of the standouts from the event and if you are not following me on social media, you’ll probably miss something
2016
Che Bria Porter (UNSIGNED)- she has plenty of tools and has shown me over the years she knows how to put the ball in the basket. Attacks off the dribble and can stop on a dime and hit the jumper. Good ball handler that sees the floor and understands how to get others involved at the right time
2017
Mya Holingshed (Texas Elite Phenoms Elite) –she’s 6’4 and long and what I immediately liked about her when she was in the 8th grade were athleticism and upside. Over the years, I’ve seen a transformation as she’s become a human eraser as well as a good rebounder on both ends however her ability to finish, her hands and footwork and defending on the perimeter will have college coaches coming in droves
Janay Redec (Texas Elite Phenoms)-she’s also a player I caught before high school and her ability to bang inside has always been something I liked. She’s a good rebounder and understands the game but when she faked and put the ball on the floor from the free throw line and scored, that definitely made my day
Kedranea Addison (Louisiana Lady Pumas)-I have so many stars in various categories by her name she could be a flag but you better raise the flag because her athleticism enables her to power her way to the basket for buckets or just for fun, she can elevate over defenders for the midrange
Gloria Davis ( DFW Elite Houston)- silky smooth athletic point guard that controls the tempo, that is when the team needs to go she pushes them and finds the right players to get the ball to and many times that’s herself as she can score off the dribble or drain it from the outside. Loves to defend baseline to baseline
MACY RAY
2018
Teraneisha Washington- (Lady Dominators)-took a hard hit and had to leave the game however prior to that she was putting on a show. Explosive off the dribble is always a good thing and even better when you can control the ball going full speed. This young lady knows how to put the ball in the basket
Macy Ray (SWAG Elite) –very unselfish player that can score 20 in the flow and when you go back and look at stat sheet you’ll be wondering how she did it, well I said in the flow. Long ball, no problem, deep long ball, no problem, great form, she’s deadly so many ways on the offensive end however her unselfishness adds more to her value at the next level
