2022 All Eyez On Me Tip Sheet-C/O 2025

This group heading into their sophomore season had a variety of talent for every level of the next level. Remember, progression is the key, work on your game, d don’t get caught up in social media nonsense, and with that being said from an expert with a daughter who had over 100 D1 offers, you would think I know what I’m talking about

Bella Grace-Aguero-5’5 G (Gonzales) smoothly sets the defender up with a deceptive first step to attack and finish or dish because her court vision was nice. I also enjoyed her using the HEZ, some call it the hezzie but it’s the hesitation and in the open court, she showed it multiple times. The pull-up was nice, solid defender too

Katie Pfeiffer-5’10 F (Georgetown)– off the dribble or just elevating from the ground, she found ways to score but she also did a good job defending, on the ball, and her timing was pretty good as well because she “played the passing lane” and blocked some shots but even when she went after steals and missed, she recovered nicely

Kinzie Searcy-5’2 G (Fulshear) good ball-handling under pressure is always good when you have that #sizedontmatter hashtag dropped but she’s feisty, on both ends, and saw the floor very well but her pinpoint passes weren’t the only thing I enjoyed, she showed she could drop it from outside or attack the rim and finish

Laila Manuel-5’6 G (Beaumont United)– I just enjoy watching players that play the passing lane, it’s a lost art and she drew plenty of pictures because she can handle it after she makes the steal to either attack or throws blistering passes on the money yet she also attacks in the set and finishes after contact. The pull-up jumper is nice and will get even better as far as range

Kara Hart-5’10 F (Katy Taylor)– I gotta drop the #THROWBACK for her “up and under” because I don’t know why some of this stuff is being taught, especially when you have players like her with good hands and footwork but she also could attack from the wing and finish after contact, the pull-up jumper made it even sweeter and she has some impressive upside

Mallory Denson-5’5 (Westbrook) her deceptive first step gets the defender to lean, after that, bye, because she attacks so hard off the dribble and shows good body control to finish after the lick. Yeah the pull-up is nice, she drops it also after contact and consistently does it with a hand in her face but her ” on the ball” pressure defensively needs to be mentioned as well

Natalia Alvarado-5’3 G (Reagan ) understanding how to create contact and draw fouls is a gift, wrap it up and give her a bow because she understands exactly how to make that happen but she also can handle the ball as well as see the floor. She creates her shot from the outside, and drops the jumper from multiple spots but seeing her drop the step-back had me smiling

A’Nya Williams-5’4 G (Steele) plenty of players were showing the HEZ yet when you add her acrobatic finishes to go along with her body control she has quite a few tools to put the ball in the basket. Yes, she can drop the jumper while being defended, she rebounds and can handle the ball going coast to coast but she also defended nicely

Abigail Seitz-5’8 G (Vista Ridge) it would be easier t say what she didn’t do but her filling up my notes as well as the basket multiple ways was very nice. The pull-up, off the dribble, mid to very long-range, and solid court vision all got buckets for her team but she got rebounds, on both ends, played the passing lane and her smothering defense had me sweating

Keyiona McDaniel-5’8 G (Kountze) playing the passing lane was running rampant in this group yet her scoring off the dribble, with either hand and finishing, with either hand, was really nice. Her frame absorbed the contact as if it was irrelevant, her pull-up jumper was smooth in the skills or the game and her pressure on the defensive end was also impressive

Natalie Maldonado-5’4 G (Belton) pull-up jumpers in transition JUST DO IT for me and she did it over and over. Yeah, the stop and pop ain’t easy but she made it look like it was. She also did a good job attacking the rim and finishing, after contact. Solid defender who also joined the group of many that “played the passing lane

Reese Hoadley-5’7 G (Georgetown) progression is what I love and each season, I see just that from her, this is why it’s important to be in front of someone that actually pays attention to you, yeah, me again but she already had showed me she could shoot it, now she’s added the “catch and shoot” as well as the “stop and pop” and her poise under pressure dropping clutch shots is HUGE

Jena Warden-5’8 G (Silsbee) no notes needed, the pull-up jumper is next level ready. I called her a #D1Lock in the 5th or 6th grade, I can’t remember but I do she was doing plenty of damage around the basket yet that damage has escalated to, well everywhere. She scores from the wing, creates her shot, and just elevates over the defender with one of the best jumpers in Texas. She still rebounds, on both ends and she ain’t done

Tierney Perkins-5’4 G (Perkins) she wore #99 and I asked her did she know Maxwell Smart, no response so I told her to, Google It, but I’ll be GOOGLING her after what she brought to the table. She has SWB, the speed with the ball, under control, that’s the key and when she is going full speed, she has options to pass or attack and score. She also creates her shot, showed the step-back and defends, nice upside, CHIEF !!!!
