THE NEXT LEVEL

Taylor Schippers leads a cast of talented players from the Houston area that will be signing early. It has been a pleasure to watch many of these kids grow up right before my eyes on the court, some even before they were in middle school. Schippers has worked on her game and turned into more than just a three point shooter. It takes hard work to get to the next level  BLOG, and I want to congratulate all of the young ladies on achieving their dream.

Tonight I found out Brittney Matthew from Hightower, has decided to sign with Stephen F Austin. In Matthew, we’re talking about a kid that has always been way under the radar. Matthew moved up last season to run the Hurricanes after a couple of their guards went down with injuries. Those injuries had some people thinking, including me, that the Canes would only be a tropical storm. Finishing the season with a record of 36-3, along with runner-up in the State Championship was no joke and they couldn’t have done it with out Matthew’s steady hand at running the team, along with her last second heroics throughout the playoffs. This highly underrated, very unselfish, acrobatic young guard, has proved so many wrong and is still running the show for the #1 team in the state and quite possibly, your next State Champions!
