Tara Hopes To Repeat

Tara Warren has always been one of those players that you had to keep your eyes on. Although most of what she does doesn’t always show up in the box score, she was a key part of her high school team, Cy Fair,making  runs to Austin the past two years, including a State Championship last season.

Tara was an All District performer last year on a star studded high school team that included Chiney Ogumike and Cassie Peoples, and Tara complimented them to perfection. Tara will continue playing basketball at University of San Diego next season.

I caught up with her club coach, Chris Johnson and asked him his thoughts on one of his key players.

” Tara is the type of kid that you love to coach. She is always smiling and gets along great with other teammates. Tara is excellent on defense with her athleticism and length. The goal was to expand her game offensively over the summer which she definitely did. Tara has a bright future at San Diego and we are very proud of her”.

Tara is ready to go out with a bang and not only can you not count Cy Fair out, you can’t count Tara out either.
