T JACKED ON THE BAYOU

If you came to New Orleans looking for excitement, there was plenty to be seen at the Alario Center. Whatever you wanted was right there for your eyes, be it great teams, outstanding individual performances or the young stars of the future, the rain wasn’t the only thing pouring as the amount of talent was simply unbelievable. One talented player separated herself from the rest, Moriah Jefferson. Talk about putting your team on your back is exactly what she did as the crowd kept wanting MO as she delivered time and time again leading her star studded team to the Mardi Gras Championship.

Tyler Gilbert was outstanding as well, elevating her status to “BEAST” mode and raising her stock in front of the wall to wall coaches, at last count over 200 attended the event. Almost as impressive was her twin Taylor as the Gilbert sisters have shown what hard work and determination can do.

Nekia Jones is being compared as a cross between Danielle Adams and Charles Barkley which are two names you wouldn’t mind being associated with on the court. Her crossover dribbles, fade away threes or no look passes created showtime atmosphere for the crowd and coaches as many were in awe. I’ve put together several pieces on the blog with more to come.
