Stevenson’s return gives Kinkaid a boost
December Stevenson had a breakout season last year, I’ve observed her since middle school and her transformation from being a back to the basket player to a legitimate threat scoring not only from the wing, but facing the basket spoke volumes about her work-ethic as well as desire and if you absorb my writing as well as words, I’m huge on progression because that’s what it’s all about, being the best you can be and showing it on the floor. Nagging injuries over the club season as well as the start of the school year is the only thing that slowed the unsigned senior down however at a shade under “the magic number’ of 6’0, she has come back with a vengeance
I caught up with her at her school this week, Kinkaid has started off slowly but showing signs of turning things around and a healthy Stevenson will play a big part of that because she’s a double-double waiting to happen and I spoke about progression and let me not leave out Stevenson’s ballhandling which I actually made a GIF out of her grabbing the rebound on one end, going coast to coast and finishing with the spin and floater
