R3 Road To San Antonio
HOUSTON, TX- This is one of those seasons where the two best teams won’t wind up playing each other in the finals to see who heads to San Antonio to represent Region 3. Cy Woods and North Shore are ranked one-two in the state for 6A according to TABC and Cy Woods is ranked among the top 25 teams in the country according to Max Preps, Here’s the problem, the best team doesn’t necessarily always make it to state, let alone the semifinals which will be held again at Campbell Center. Cy Woods has the deepest starting line-up of any team in the area, all five are LEGITIMATE D1 players while North Shore has the deepest team in the area, I’ve made mention several times that several of their players coming off the bench would be starting for most of the teams in the area but I’ll take it a step further and say this, their bench would make the playoffs in many districts and probably win a couple. The game is played on the court and in a one game playoff; anything can happen so it should be enjoyable as Westside should be considered a legitimate threat as well as Hightower if they ever get healthy along with Manvel who are capable of making a run
