R-3 6A Road To Regionals-Bracket 4

MIA THOMAS

At the beginning of the season, I said I believed the representative heading to State Tournament Final 4 from Region 3 in 6A would have the initials SC, nothing has changed other than Summer Creek and Shadow Creek are on a collision course to make it to the area regionals, Shadow Creek split with Pearland and was runner-up. One of the top UNSIGNED seniors in Texas, Brooklin Brown has been on fire all season, her versatility is one of the reasons they have a legitimate shot while one of the state’s top PG’s, R’Mani Taylor is also UNSIGNED, let me drop this, so many players are UNSIGNED because of “handlers” overselling players who wind up in the PORTAL yet I still see parents tagging the same people who initiated this BS, it’s sad and shows how social media has just help screw this stuff up

Summer Creek is hands down ahead of the pack, why, not just because I say so but when you have countless guards that understand how to press and trap, that old saying “pressure will burst a pipe” immediately pops into my head, sort of like Mia Thomas dropping the long ball as well as others, yes they can shoot but the key that will unlock the door is Kaitlyn Duhon because the Auburn signee is not only long and athletic, she is ULTRA athletic so the SC match-up is probably the one that should have been the game that sent the winner to Austin, I mean San Antonio, I keep thinking pre-social media nonsense and #THROWBACK
