2013 R-3 4A Road to Austin

ANN NSOWAH (LAMAR CONSOLIDATED)

Defending 4A R-3 champion Barbers Hill not only blew me away last year as they defeated Beaumont Ozen who was ranked #1 for the whole season if memory serves correct. I expected a 20 plus win however I didn’t the Eagles would be the team giving it which is why you play the game on the court. Both teams are on opposite sides of the bracket and before we think rematch, there are several other contenders that may pull off a surprise or two

I’ve seen Tomball in the Conroe Tournament and their inside presence will create problems while Friendswood had that along with some shooters when they faced Brenham in the Aldine Tournament. I missed Lamar Consolidated in the SBISD however I’m familiar personnel, while Pearland Dawson has weapons coming from everywhere.

Wheatley has some athletic guards who can bring it on both ends, Summer Creek has the inside and outside presence and I’m hearing Willowridge is a team that might pull off some surprises, as well as Beaumont Central

One thing is for certain, things will become a little clearer by the weekend
