Pflugerville pretty impressive too

Last season, I was anticipating a Pflugerville vs Duncanville state championship finale however “The Fluge” lost two starters in regionals and would up losing to Cibolo Steele in the state semi’s. This team impressed me so much during their Mansfield Invitational championship simply because they get after it baseline to baseline the whole game and when you have offensive guards that can attack off the dribble as well as score from the outside, you got a little something to work with. When the rankings come out, they should be no lower than number three after knocking off the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh place teams and when you throw in the number three team, Cy Woods,  lost to an unranked team, plus the way the Manvel  squad got beaten, this may be the second best team in the state, right now. Alyssa Echols was named MVP and she was joined on the all-tournament team by Stephanie Onyeje. Part two of the season should be interesting as the teams prepare for the most important part which starts in February.
