Pearland’s return to Campbell quite possible
One thing I’ve always done is have my own opinion and not wavered or changed it due to popular demand and although I’m not always correct, the handful of times I wasn’t it was still my decision. Last season I called Pearland a sleeper and had them listed as one of the top ten teams in my preseason area ranking. Opening day, they lost by 25 points to Langham Creek and that happened to be game I chose to attend. I’m full of old sayings and always remember it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish and Pearland has a chance to be the only team to return Campbell Center for the R3 Final 4. If they don’t, I truly can’t remember ever having four new teams in this millennium but with a cast like Keara Hudnall and LaNeetra Guillory, two of the top seniors in the state, a savvy backcourt in Miranda LeJune and Taylor James along with Kaila Chizer doing damage in the paint, these five seniors have a chance to get out of here. Junior Jasmine Butler has emerged as one of the top players in her class and is coming off of a breakout summer so the Oilers have as good a chance as anyone
