Non-Texan 8th Grade Division Standouts-NBC22
I gave you 2-4-6-8, who should appreciate, well me because I dropped 10 Top performers who did not play on Texas teams on Prep Girls Hoops, and I’m dropping 8, remember the opening sentence, right here, so here ya go
La’Niyah Moore (Level Up) TN– I don’t know what I enjoyed more about her, start with she’s long and athletic and plays the passing lane, two of my favorite things to write about but she can score, off the dribble or using the jumper and JUST DID IT in the clutch
Shanaya Ruff (Level Up) TN– already understands how to use her body around the basket to score yet she rebounds and plays the passing lane. The icing on the cake was she handled the ball under pressure and saw the floor
Jalaiya Williams (Level Up) TN– her “on the ball” defense had me sweating, yeah it was smothering but she understands how to use her athleticism. She also scored off the dribble and from mid to long-range, oh yeah, she played the passing lane
Sadie Linn (Oklahoma Aces 2026-Carrington) OK– played within herself, meaning she didn’t force anything and for hers in the flow, which means she understood her role. She applied pressure on the defensive end, she showed good court vision and she scored off the dribble
Kadence Hardaway (AR JB Lady Ballers 2026) AR– that’s her on the cover flying through the ait, didn’t realize I had snapped that picture yet her first step created some problems as she got to the rim effortlessly. She also applied baseline to baseline defense and played the passing lane very well
Kennedy Payton (AR JB Lady Ballers 2026) AR– used her body well on both ends, to either rebound or finish, yes on putbacks. I like how the “hands and footwork” combo is coming around, she even scored facing the basket
Keyuna Glayson (AR JB Lady Ballers 2026) AR– finished around the basket, even after contact yet she attacked the basket from multiple angles to do so. She also did a good job guarding her man and seeing the floor
Mya Robbins (D.E.B.S. Elite Purple 2026) AR– scored off the dribble by creating her shot and using a deceptive first step. She finished after contact and also did a good job on defense, yeah, that includes playing the passing lane
