New & Old Faces from Riverside Division #TJShowcase

For some teams, I had to do extra legwork to get names, so I placed them on Prep Girls Hoops while for some teams without rosters, I kept it moving so here are some of the standouts from DFW Houston and SA Infiniti 16U Black. DFW Houston won the division

Kiana Philavong-5’4 (SA Infiniti Black) 2027- solid court vision both in the set as well as in transition but she also dished off the dribble as she attacked to score using a deceptive first step. She did a good job creating her shot under pressure and knocking it down under pressure

Emery Reyes-5’7 (SA Infiniti Black) 2028- solid upside as she showed she can handle playing up with ease. She’s heady and patiently sets the defender up to either attack and score or create spacing to get her shot off. She also dropped the “catch and shoot” 3

Brooke Hollis-5’8 (SA Infiniti Black) 2027- understands positioning inside the paint to rebound on both ends. She doesn’t mind battling and did a good job inside the paint defensively. She also made good decisions on her passes and scored around the basket

Hailey Miller-5’9 (DFW Elite Miller) 2028 continues to show progression and trust me, at the rate she’s going, she’ll be one of the top 2028s in Texas before it’s all said and done. She’s “long and athletic”, scored off the dribble, and showed the jumper yet her court vision was solid and she played the passing lane

#33 (DFW Elite Miller) is also “long and athletic” which is the base. She rebounded on both ends, scored around the basket, and even showed the turnaround jumper. She also attacked and finished strongly and her defense was solid

#34 (DFW Elite Miller) gave me a glimpse of her upside as she did a good job inside the paint, on both ends. She rebounded and ran the floor yet she’s strong and didn’t mind the physicality, giving or taking and she scored around the basket
