New Faces 2022 #TJShowcase

ALINA HERNANDEZ

There were several new faces I caught at TJ Showcase, many I don’t have anything to say about because I don’t know who they are, one more time let’s reemphasize the importance of turning in non-erroneous rosters as well as rosters period. How hard is it to email information, I continue to be baffled at the cluelessness of people but look at the PORTAL so here we go

Alina Hernandez (SA Infiniti Green) almost placed her on the Scorers and Shooters list because she found ways to put the ball in the basket

Zoey Miller (Phoenix 2025) went on an offensive tear from outside as well as off the dribble yet she also defends and plays the passing lane

Abigail Valero (Upside) creates her shot under pressure to either attack or drop the jumper

Kenadi Austin ( SA Lady Hoops Grey) explosive first step to attack the basket, nice body control on finishes, and dropped the jumper

Erica Willamson (SETX Elite) on the ball defender was part of it, so was her attacking and finishing but she was also “vocal on the court”

Kat Herrera (STX) created her shot and knocked down the jumper, handled the ball, and saw the floor

DESTINI SULLIVAN

Destini Sullivan (Phoenix Gold) long and athletic is and will always be the base. Battles for rebounds, scores for the dribble, slid defender

Kayli Smith (STX) set the defender to attack the rim, and also showed she could knock the long-range down

Tarya Dorsey (Houston United Coleman) controls the tempo, sees the floor, scores off the dribble, and defends

Ella Granda (CE Elite 2024) scored off the dribble multiple times, her playing the passing lane JUST DID IT

Riley Samples (CE Elite 2024) showed she could knock down the jumper, the pull-up was nice, and so was her dropping it from deep

Haylee Rivers (MP Elite) is athletic and goes after everything including loose balls on the floor. Also scored off the dribble

The BIG THREE from Cy Fair SETX put on a show at #ALLEyezOnMe and the party didn’t stop at 8 in da morning as they continued to impress me

Mallory Denson– created her shot under pressure, knocked down the jumper, and finished after contact, solid OTB defense

Keyiona McDaniel– played the passing lane over and over, also OTB defender, battled for everything off the rim, score inside and midrange

Laila Manuel– OTB means ON THE BALL, I save characters a lot but she ain’s saving anything on the court, never takes a PLAY-OFF, dives for loose balls scores off the dribble, has good body control, and finishes after the lick
