Manvel still ahead in R3

No one is more surprised by the huge loss Manvel had against Whitney Young than I am. Whitney Young is not 30 points better than the Lady Mavericks and when you have the interior they have in Rangie Bessard, Jordan Hosey and soon to be named MDAA Brianna Turner, you know it was just one of those games. With all of that being said, they are still the team to beat in Region 3. Keyerra Fisher and Jonee Jones have shown they complement each other in the backcourt and with Arianna Sanders and Mykhaela Tolds as the first two off the bench, this team is solid. The addition of Amieya Jackson, transfer from Bellaire, is already paying dividends as she is known for making big plays and hitting big shots, her half court basket against Whitney Young might be an omen. I thought Cy Woods might make a run, still waiting on chemistry issues since “The Incredible Mulk” has returned. North Shore is a player, Cy Ranch if healthy may create some problems but what wouldn’t surprise me one bit is if someone simply came out of nowhere and made it to Austin. My advice to all is “one game at a time” and when the playoffs start, you only have to be the best team that game
