Let The Games Begin, On & Off The Court

Over my 20-plus years of doing this, I have seen some amazing things, both on and off the court yet over a decade ago I said social media was going to do more harm than good in GBB, and as usual, I was right

People want to believe nonsense, like “come with us and you’ll be ranked” yet I overemphasize the only numbers players should be concerned about is the number of colleges wanting them to play for them

Rankings mean absolutely nothing in the big picture, one national guy had my daughter ranked 204 at the guard spot after I cursed him out and played the DUZ, but petty adults are everywhere with their nonsense, keep in mind my daughter had over 100 D1 offers alone, the first coming in the 6th grade and over a dozen before high school

My daughter also won a National Championship in 2011 at Texas A&M and recently won a WNBA Championship with the Las Vegas Aces so yeah, I was pissed about the 204 number but I shouldn’t have been because the hate be real, the love be fake

Teams are being said “we’ll have you on the center court” yet I compare it to starring in a play and not knowing your lines, hopefully, the analogy fits because #TalentIsEverywhere and please note that players will be trying to IMPRESS college coaches

Also, many of my sayings are copied by others which is why I don’t interact as much as I used to because people will take what I say and twist it for their own agendas, and usually wind up saying something stupid but peep this, IT’S NOT WHAT YOU DO, IT’S WHO YOU DO IT AGAINST means unless you’re going off against LEGITIMATE next level talent, does it really matter, to me, absolutely not
