It’s On Classic 2023 Tip Sheet

I’m going to do something different for Just Play Elite 2023 and San Antonio Lady Hoops 2023 from the event and drop something on their squads on my BLOG on some of the players I missed, be patient, and do not question me, I am the EXPERT. Okay I’m kidding, actually, I’m not but it was so much talent that I think this is the best way for me, stay tuned but here’s my Elite 8

ABIGAIL TOMASKI

Asia Prudhomme-5’8 PF (DC Queens SA) East Central HS-nothing like #THROWBACK mentality and watching her put in work on both ends of the court was extremely refreshing as she battles for everything off the rim. She attacks the basket strongly, finishes after contact, and played tough defense

Kelechi Dike-5’9 PF (Houston Dream Red) Fort Bend Austin– long and athletic, that’s the base I use on several players and see what intangibles they bring, well she plays the passing lane and attacks the rim from various angles but her upside, as well as energy, also stood out

Peyton Holmes-5’5 G(Houston Husslers) Shadow Creek HS-she’s very athletic and understands how to get to the rim multiple ways and she has the “floata” down nicely but her timing stood out as well as she blocked some shots as well as anticipated passes for steals

Na’Jah Edwards-5’6 G (Houston Husslers) Shadow Creek HS– attacks the rim and can hit the jumper but her rebounding was solid on both ends as she battled taller players for balls off the rim, well she also went after loose balls in the stands or on the floor

Riley McCloskey-5’5 PG (Just Play 2022) Memorial HS-her poise just keeps grabbing me as she handles the pressure thrown at her, she also handles the ball while being tightly guarded and as she controls the tempo, she hits her teammates on the money for baskets. She creates her shot, mid to long-range, and scores off the dribble with either hand

Abigail Tomaski-6’0 SG (Just Play 2022) Memorial HS-I’m not only enjoying watching her finish but she understands something very important, how to create contact and she can do those multiple ways including creating her shot, mid to long-range as well as attack the rim while drawing the lick

Natasha Stafford-5’10 PF (Pro Skills Austin) Elgin HS-long and athletic, she plays the passing lane so well and after the steal, she can make things happen in the open court by attacking, hitting the stop and pop or seeing the floor but her rebounding as well as defense ain’t bad

Ashley Soleil-6’0 G/P (Supremacy) Sharyland Pioneer HS-standing at “the magic number” of 6’0, she has huge upside but check this out, her ability to see the floor at that size as well as attack the rim and finish tells me she’s on the verge of something
