HTX 2020 #CCClassic
LAURYN SMALL
HOUSTON, Texas-HTX 2020 rolled through another tournament with ease and the stars were abundant on this squad. Deyona Gaston is BCS lock, she’s one of the top players in the country so you can read more about her and Ashlon Jackson, definitely one of the top 2022’s I’ve seen, in my life, on the 10th Grade Tip Sheet coming up a little bit later from Prime Time’s Clutch City Classic
Let’s talk about Lauryn Small, she goes to Bayside and the first thing I thought about was Saved By The Bell which is what she’ll be doing in high school because she’s really good now but nowhere near where she’ll finish. Strong and athletic, can defend and simply finds ways to put ball in basket
HANNAH HAWKINS
What about Hannah Hawkins, well she’s heady, knows the game and more importantly knows how to make plays not only for herself but her teammates. Having a high BB-IQ at a young age is always good and when you add ability into, well keep an eye on her
Samantha Simmons had a growth spurt; I’ve watched her older sister Alex do amazing things for years and Samantha definitely caught my eye. The athleticism, the hanging in the air and but more importantly, an array of offensive weapons from someone 5’10 this young is huge
Daniela Perdona and Nicole Nash have always been able to shoot the ball but both have added a little variety to their games. Perdona’s catch and shoot with accuracy has taken a jump while Nash looks even better taking defenders off the dribble
