Houston United Blue 2027 #HoustonSummerSlam

I caught this talented young team filled with potential on Sunday against Lateral Athletics Lady Storm. The Lady Storm had players I picked for my Prep Girls Hoops New Faces squad, Zoe Conner and Skylar Brown, read more

Caught some New Faces on Houston United Blue, as well as others who are showing “on the court” progression which had me thinking “What The Chuck” as he’s keeping the pipeline going, here ya go

Reagan Weatherton-5’3 G (Cy Springs) 2027 showed me so many things other than being an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends. She played solid baseline-to-baseline defense, played the passing lane, and scored off the dribble, FLOATA included, as well as the EURO but her court vision was also solid

Naomi Page-5’9 SF (Cy Springs) 2027 looked good playing on a different team Saturday yet she went completely off on Sunday and went after everything off the rim, on both ends. She scored off the dribble and around the basket, putbacks included plus her defensive pressure was nice, as was her playing the passing lane

Peyton Ross-5’6 G 2029 has so much upside as she was playing a couple of years up but her “poise under pressure” was impressive. She also did a good job creating her shot while being defended to drop the jumper and seeing her attack and score had me smiling

Daleigha Clark-5’6 G (Bridgeland) 2027 is a “long and athletic” guard, which is also the base and I was impressed with her scoring off the dribble as well as seeing the floor, both in the set as well as in transition

Daiya Clark-5’5 G (Bridgeland) 2027 is also a “long and athletic” guard, wait, they’re twins, okay I get it. She played the passing lane well and she set the defender up to score off the dribble, nice body control on her finishes

Addison Sanford-5’6 G (Langham Creek) 2027 was a baby when I first started watching her older sister play and I see similarities like her ballhandling and court vision under pressure but peep this, she’s heady, plays within herself, and stays under control. She scored off the dribble and was vocal on the court #THROWBACK

Kayla Cortez-5’7 G (Cy Ranch) 2027 showed me she could get to the basket using a deceptive first step, but she also showed that she could score or dish off the dribble. She created her shot while being defended and dropped the jumper

Rayn Frazier-5’9 F (Cy Lakes) 2027 gave me quite a bit starting with her DESIRE to rebound, on both ends as well as defend both in and outside the paint. She’s athletic, did a good job defending “on the ball” and attacked strongly from multiple spots
