Houston Lady Nets 14U #simmiecosonclassic
The Houston Lady Nets brought 7 teams, each filled with talented players and I’ve already dropped some of the standouts from the 12U squad, including Zoe Whitaker who made the PGH Texas article so here are a few from the 14U team
#12 (2028) is long and athletic which is and always will be the base. Her energy level on both ends grabbed my attention immediately, and so did her going after everything off the rim. Her defense was strong, and so were her finishes, good upside
#4 (2028) is heady and reads the floor on both ends meaning her passes were crisp and on the money in traffic plus she played the passing lane. I also saw her “on the ball” defense was strong as well as her attacking the basket from multiple angles to score
#2 Kylie Mohammed (2029) also showed her passion for applying heat baseline to baseline which helped create turnovers. Well, so did her quick hands as she came away with steals plus she scored while attacking the basket strongly
#0 Aria Dickerson (2029) played hard defense but hit the boards even harder, both on the offensive and defensive end. There are certain things you can’t teach and her “you won’t outwork me” mindset is one of them
