2013 GPR Hoop-A-Holics Tip Sheet
DEJA KELLY, NYAH GREEN & JADEN OWENS
DUNCANVILLE, Texas-With over 130 players on hand at Bob Knight for the inaugural PASSTHABALL Hoop-A-Holics Camp, I had a chance to evaluate almost everyone for an extended amount of time. This is the first of FOUR Tip Sheets I have coming and this is the one that I told you if these players were combined on a college team, they could make a Final Four run. Several players could be interchanged with some listed but just to send a message to those who didn’t think it would be anyone here, now you know. I’ll also have separate Tip Sheets on the 2018 and 2019 class and something special for those I’ve watched make jumps over the past season as they become JEFFERSONIZED because they’re “Movin On Up”. Here are PASSTHABALL’s videos one more time
2018
Charli Collier-6’3 post/forward
Charli is special in so many ways, in the paint she’s virtually unstoppable and in the open court she’s becoming somewhat spectacular. She will be able to play multiple positions at Texas, where she has already committed and the naysayers will be scratching their heads
Shae Routt-6’2 post/forward
Speaking of Texas, Shae’s mom starred there and she’ll write her own ticket to just about anywhere. Routt is nowhere near the finished product and every time I see her I catch something she’s added
Tatum Veitenheimer-5’7 combo
I was to lady to tweet her whole name and since she was going off when I first saw her”TV” was perfect. She can score, she can run a team, she can defend and more importantly, she knows and understands the game
Sydney Hardeman-5’10 forward
Last year she impressed me as 5’7 guard and that growth spurt has done nothing but add to her marketability. She can now score inside or out, attacks nicely from the perimeter where she can also defend
Addison Ryan-5’7 combo
I love watching a player with loud shoes on and orange has become one of my favorites. The first time I saw her, I thought she was a sophomore and I was saying she had a shot at D1, after finding out she was only a 7th grader playing up, arsenal is loaded in a huge way
Katlyn Ghavidel-5’6 guard
I can’t stress the importance of players who are just about automatic and with her quick release and accuracy; any type of defense is prone to be exploited. She’s smart and is also doing a good job scoring off the dribble
2019
Elizabeth Scott 6’0 forward
At times, Liz showed signs last summer however after getting hit hard at the camp, she transformed into an absolute terror on the court. With maturity, she will be a dominant force in the paint or facing the basket
Kennedy Tucker-5’10 guard-Arkansas
Big guards that can score are coveted by colleges. Tucker has a bag of tricks like few her age and her ability to score in the flow is second to none. Saw her playing four and five years up initially, nothing fazed the young lady as she showed me she was a “basketball player”
Nyah Green-5’11 whatever
She doesn’t even realize that she can take a game completely over and I’m serious. I don’t like comparing players, it’s not fair to anyone but I’ll say this. She’s one of the best seventh graders I’ve seen in my life and before it’s all said and done…….
Jaden Owens-5’6 combo
Solid all over, strong with a great body to take the lick and complete the and one’s, can score mid or long range, head stays in the game no matter what and she too can run a team. To top it off, she’s nowhere near what she’s going to be doing
2020
Deyona Gaston-5’11 forward
She’s scary and was definitely one of the more “ultra” athletic players at the camp who grabbed rebounds out of the sky. From the wing she’s explosive, in the paint she’s explosive and although while facing the basket to score, ell she’s about to blow up
Deja Kelly-5’6 guard
If you watched the video, well you get it. She’s in sixth grade folks; I’ve written about her a lot and haven’t even touched the surface. She’s going to make a run at best in her class and definitely an MDAA shot
