Duncanville with 2015 Texas Invitational win
DEER PARK, Texas-The Duncanville Pantherettes came to town and continued their torrid early season winning strake by taking the Texas Invitational championship. Over the years, this continues to be one of the most successful programs and with national ranked players like Cierra Johnson and Zarielle Green as well as Madison Townley, Rosie Davis and Tae Davis, that starting five just jumps out at you with so much pressure that after their first game, I knew they were definitely the team to beat
It doesn’t stop with the starting five, Chrineisha Davis has always brought plenty of heat, Jayla Johnson created a lot of problems with her length and athleticism but I truly love the upside from sophomore Starr Jacobs. Aakillah Caldwell was nursing a minor injury in game one, I was sold on her back in middle school but the weapons just come from everywhere on this talented team
Take a look at what they’ve done along the way and notice Plano and Cy Fair are the only teams to get within 20. Are they the best team in the state, well they’re the best I’ve seen and are playoff ready right now
