DFW Elite North’s comeback win
BAILEY MACK
I didn’t see a whole lot of DFW Elite North’s games in the summer but from the bits and pieces I saw I knew they had the tools to create some problems for a lot of teams. In the summer, the times I did see them it appeared 2013 guard Bailey Mack was unconscious nailing just about everything she shot from everywhere on the floor along with their backcourt creating havoc all over the court for opposing guards. I’ll take it back a step further because last season I mentioned 2013 Chanel Atkins ability to use her frame quite well. Those three things, Mack’s shooting, Atkins size and the backcourt pressure were some of the main reasons that DFW Elite North had one of the best comebacks I’ve seen against a quality team all year. Down by 15 early in the first half, I was scratching my head after being impressed by this team on opening day however something clicked and the volume was turned up and I mean full blast. 2013 Kylee Hicks nailed big shot after big shot while 2014 Mariah Williams, 2013 Jamee Moore and 2013 Cameerah Graves kept that backcourt pressure hot and that double digit deficit was turned into a double digit win.
