Starting today the Houston area will have three tournaments going on, The Aldine ISD Invitational, the Katy Classic and the Houston ISD Tournament. All three tournaments should provide different levels of excitement; Aldine’s has Eisenhower who is always a contender for first place in their district, not to mention out of town teams such as Dallas Lincoln and Bryan Rudder. Houston ISD has Bellaire and Westside who have both made it to the Regional Finals twice in the last five seasons.
The Katy ISD will feature some of the top area teams, including Cy Falls right now the number one team in the area along with Atascocita, the number two team in the area, along with several other contenders that have a chance to make it to state, including Klein Collins, North Shore, Atascocita, Cy Fair, Elsik, Hightower,Seven Lakes and Katy Taylor.
Remember the two Katy schools, Lakes and Taylor, both beat former number one Hightower in the FBISD Tournament, Hightower avenged it’s loss to Katy Taylor a couple of days later, plus Taylor just beat Atascocita on Tuesday. If that isn’t enough, Barber’s Hill is one of the top 4A squads, plus out of town teams like Colleyville Heritage and Mansfield.
