Cy Woods ready for district battle

2014 CFFC Ogwumike

CYPRESS, Texas- Initially I had Cy Ranch in the driver’s seat however remember I don’t keep up with transfers and new kids until it actually happens so when you have nationally ranked Top 100 players Nancy Mulkey and Erica Ogwumike along with Tulsa commit Tatyana Perez, I knew it was going to be a race between Cy Woods and Cy Ranch however injuries may have pushed Ranch down to third. Sure they still have the dynamic sophomore duo of Deauzya Richards and Arianna Whitfield along with some talented freshmen including Sydney Rivera and D’Asia Collins, coming into fold, the addition of transfer Jasmine Williams and Catherine Reece is probably going to assure a district title. Also moving back into the picture is Cy Fair and their talented junior guard Angela Harris. Harris is one of the top prospects in Texas 2016, of course I said she was a D1 player while she was in elementary school and we all know how that works out in the long run. Taylor McCowan and Kyler Wyatt are key players to return and had Cy Fair not lost the Woods sisters, they could conceivably had made a run at Woods with the addition of Northwestern State commit Brynae Thompson who can put up numbers quickly. These should be the top three in some type of order, Cy Falls and Langham Creek will probably fight it out for the final spot but then again I don’t whose where and I have nothing but time
