Conroe semifinal preview
At high noon, the semifinals begin in the Conroe Tournament as Conroe takes on Huntsville while College Park battles Klein Collins. Erica Powell’s status keeps rising as she leads her team to a 37-33 victory over Tomball to get there scoring 12 points while Tomball’s Carissa Diaz had 11. Also Tomball is going to create some problems this year, let’s not forget that they’ve moved down to 4A and that should present another team in the hunt. Jessica Burton and Allayna Waters have shown they can score as well which should take some of the offensive pressure off of Diaz. On the other side of the bracket, College Park takes on Klein Collins who got there by defeating Cy Creek 60-54 as Elaine Hurtado goes completely off for 18 points followed by Uma Rajagolpalan ‘s 16 points and Alexia Sanders 15. Klein Collins turned a nine point halftime deficit completely around outscoring Lufkin by 12 in the third quarter as Dominique Dillingham scores 22 points while Jasmine Nash adds 18. This offset the 25 points dropped by Lufkin’s Kassie Jones
