Congress Division Standouts #TJShowcase

Texas Attack won the division, Team Lex 14U Jr 3SSB was runner-up yet there were no rosters for either. Mikaela Banjoa did everything I said and more in an article I wrote about her a few weeks ago. I also dropped some of the VIPERS in a couple of articles, Premier DBK players were also mentioned here and here, so here are some of the other players that stood out

Peyton Ross-5’6 (Houston United Chuck 2027) 2029- plenty of upside based on what she’s doing now, playing up and handling the pressure, all good signs yet what makes it even better is that she uses her athleticism on both ends and can create and drop her jumper while being defended

Naomi Page-5’10 (Houston United Chuck 2027) 2027-keeps turning PAGES and one more time, she’s long and athletic, which is the base so watching her slice by defenders from the wing or straight down the middle to score keeps improving. Rebonding and defense are solid plus she plays the passing lane

Reagan Weatherton -5’3 (Houston United Chuck 2027) 2027- is also an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends. Her on-the-ball pressure looks good, she attacks strongly off the dribble to score or dish but her finishing after contact has also gotten better

Erica Taylor-5’8 (Phoenix 2028) – is a “long and athletic” guard, that also works for the base yet can rebound and go coast to coast to finish or dish. Court vision in the set as well as in transition is nice yet so is her body control after using a deceptive first step in the set to attack and score

Kamryn Fox-5’9 (Phoenix 2028)- is heading toward Top 100 recognition as she falls into that “big guard who can shoot” group. Yeah, the mid to long-range has been there but seeing her add the stop and pop in transition as well as the “catch and shoot” in the set are pluses defenders are going to have to deal with

Lainey Dixon-6’2 (Phoenix 2028)– is, you guessed it, “long and athletic” so I guess her rebounding and handling the ball afterward is nice yet so is her timing to block shots and handling the ball. She scores around the basket, plays good defense, and showed she could play the passing lane

Grace Dorr-5’7 (Phoenix 2028) brings the heat on the defensive end and her “on the ball” pressure had me smiling because it helped to create turnovers. She also did a good job setting the defender up to score off the dribble and her court vision was solid
